In order to achieve excellent lubricating property, coating layer is applied to rubber stopper. The cured coating layer has good heat resistance and chemical resistance, which prevents impurities from adhering to the rubber stopper.
Fluorine-containing elastomer can be used to form cured coating layer. The fluorine-containing elastomer coating layer has excellent chemical and heat resistance. It can be incorporated into the body of the rubber stopper and can also be cured in the same way as curable compositions containing curing accelerators. However, if the fluorine-containing elastomer is not cured by the use of a curing accelerator, it can be cured by heating.
The present invention aims to provide a rubber stopper for medicament that has a coating layer. This cured coating layer is composed of glycidyl vinyl ether, tetrafluoroethylene, and propylene. When cured, this elastomer can have self-adhesion property.
The present invention also provides an application method for this cured coating layer. For instance, it can be formed by keeping the coated stopper at room temperature for 3 to 14 days. Alternatively, it can be formed by using the dipping method.
Moreover, the cured coating layer can be obtained by adding graft copolymer to the rubber stopper body. Graft copolymer is a mixture of siloxane and amino group and has excellent chemical and heat resistance. Moreover, the graft copolymer can prevent contamination.
Typical curable compositions can be cured at room temperature or at 80deg to 250deg C. Curable compositions with curing accelerators can be cured at room temperature or 80deg to 250deg C.
